What could be better than watching some of your favorite films or listening to your favorite music? How about being let in on the secrets of independent film and music? Each week Thomas McMinn introduces you to new and promising artists that are making mainstream media seem like a thing of the past…or at least giving conventional artists a run for their money.
Thomas, host of our weekly online television show “The Mix”, has a lot of experience with the independent scene. By acting in independent and amateur films, he is able to add perspective that other hosts don’t have. Some of his credits include: “When Brownies Burn”, “The World's Fastest Indian”, and “American Gothic”. He is also an accomplished model, doing runway modeling and still modeling. With his unique experience, he will guide you through movie making processes, provide in depth looks at what makes directors tick and introduce you to some very talented filmmakers. Thomas is continually looking for new bands to introduce to you. He has interviewed a wide range of artists from jazz musicians to alternative rock bands. He particularly enjoys R&B, but as you can tell from watching him on The Mix, he is comfortable interviewing and connecting to all musical styles. Currently pursuing an acting career, you can tell within seconds of talking to him that he is passionate about film. He loves interviewing independent artists and helping them get their work out the public. Thomas aspires to have his own television show someday. His idol is Johnny Carson. "I would love to Johnny has done and interview musicians, actors, directors...etc that would be the best job in the world!!" His talents go beyond sport, modeling and sports. Thomas is learning guitar, piano, and saxophone. Thomas currently lives in Salt Lake City, UT with his wife and miniature Deutchhound.
