When you are looking for a latin groove, look no further than Javier, host of our online television show, The Mix.  Javier grew up in Madrid, Spain but is no stranger to America.  He lived in Houston, TX as an exchange student at the age of 17 and also served a mission for the LDS church in Arizona from 2004 – 2006.  He decided to come back to America and because he loved the people and culture. His first impression of the US was how much bigger everything was.  The streets are wider, burgers are bigger and America has root beer – the greatest invention!   To give you an idea of who he is, he has performed in Stomp, is an avid soccer player and loves salsa dancing.

As a host of The Mix, Javier interviews many different people about their music and film.  Although he enjoys listening to Mana, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alejandro Sanz, you can also catch him singing and composing his own slow rock.  He has a broad traveling experience and has insight into the world of international music, film and culture.

When you watch Javier on The Mix, you will notice how much he loves interacting with everyone that he meets.  His personality will draw you in and you won't want the interview to end.  He has interviewed a range of musicians from DJ's to rock artists.  He loves to hear all different styles of music and being introduced to more and more up and coming bands.

He is excited to a part of the independent film community as he is currently majoring in communications and broadcasting.  I know you're asking the question “a college student hosting The Mix?”  You bet!  Just watch The Mix once and you will know that Javier is definitely a force that will help drive the independent scene.

To schedule an interview with Javier in the Salt Lake area contact 801-386-9546 or 801-458-6222.
